Notice is hereby given that the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Air Pollution Control Board will receive public comments upon the application for the installation of the following air pollutant sources in Hamilton County, TN.


April 28, 2017

Kordsa, Inc., has proposed to operate three existing boilers, five existing Dowtherm® vaporizers, an existing Dowtherm® transport system, and two existing hexamethylenediamine receiving tanks at 4501 North Access Road, Chattanooga, TN.  Potential air pollutant emissions resulting from the operation of these combined sources are estimated to be 51.79 pounds/hour and 93.92 tons/year of nitrogen oxides, 29.85 pounds/hour and 98.80 tons/year of carbon monoxide, 18.64 pounds/hour and 3.82 tons/year of sulfur oxides, 10.10 pounds/hour and 42.15 tons/year of volatile organic compounds, and 9.65 pounds/hour and 10.82 tons/year of particulate matter.  Questions may be directed to Alan Frazier, Bureau Engineering Manager, at 423-643-5978.

Lincoln Terminal Company, Inc., has proposed to install a new fuel loading rack and six new fuel storage tanks at 4227 Cromwell Road, Chattanooga, TN.  Potential air pollutant emissions resulting from the operation of these combined sources are estimated to be 63.26 pounds/hour and 58.55 tons/year of volatile organic compounds, 5.27 pounds/hour and 18.41 tons/year of carbon monoxide, and 1.16 pounds/hour and 4.04 tons/year of nitrogen oxides.  Questions may be directed to Alan Frazier, Bureau Engineering Manager, at 423-643-5978.

Wilson Air Center–Chattanooga, LLC, has proposed to install a new waste burner at 932 Jubilee Drive, Chattanooga, TN.  Potential air pollutant emissions resulting from the operation of this burner are estimated to be 0.097 pound/hour and 0.42 ton/year of particulate matter, 0.082 pound/hour and 0.36 ton/year of carbon monoxide, and 0.0019 pound/hour and 0.0084 ton/year of volatile organic compounds.  Questions may be directed to Cynthia McDaniel, Bureau Engineer, at 423-643-5982.

Anyone desiring to request a public hearing concerning any of these proposed permitting actions should make that request in writing and deliver it to the Bureau Director at the above address by 4:30 pm, Thursday, June 1, 2017.  If a public hearing is requested, the hearing will be held Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at 3:00 pm at the Bonny Oaks Corporate Center, 6125 Preservation Dr., Chattanooga, TN.
