Public Notice – Novonix Anode Materials LLC

Notice is hereby given that the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Air Pollution Control Board will receive public comments upon the application for the modification of the following air pollutant source in Hamilton County, TN.

Novonix Anode Materials LLC has proposed to install two new electric furnaces at 1029 W. 19th St., Chattanooga, TN. Annual air pollutant emissions resulting from the operation of this equipment are estimated to be no more than 7.5 pounds of hydrogen cyanide and 0.19 pound of particulate matter. Questions may be directed to Alan Frazier, Bureau Engineering Manager, at 423.643.5978. Materials concerning this proposed permitting action may be inspected in person or online beginning at 4:30 p.m. EDT, Friday, April 5, 2024.

    Written comments on this proposed permitting action or requests for a public hearing concerning it should be mailed or delivered to the Bureau Executive Director at the above address. Comments or requests must be received by 4:30 p.m. EDT, Monday, May 6, 2024, to be considered in the proposed permitting action. If a public hearing is requested, notice of the date, time, and location of the hearing will be posted on the Bureau’s website, apcb.org, by Thursday, May 9, 2024.
